A school magazine arrives as folders of essays, photographs and lists of names — rarely as a finished manuscript. We take the whole of it: the editorial plan, the copy handling, the illustration, the setting in both scripts, and the print itself.

Editorial plan
A running order and page budget agreed before design starts, so the sections fit the extent you are printing.
Copy handling
Student and staff contributions edited and set consistently, in English and Hindi, however they arrived.
Illustration
Section openers and artwork drawn to the magazine's own identity rather than assembled from stock.
Photograph treatment
Class and event photographs colour-corrected and placed to a grid, sized for the press rather than the screen.
Name checking
Names and honours are the part a school is judged on, so they are read against your lists as a separate logged pass.
Print and delivery
Press-ready PDF/X, printing, and delivery of the finished copies to the school.

Brief and estimate
We read the manuscript before we price it. Extent and scope decide the figure — never a rate card.
Grid and specimen
Trim, margins, type sizes and leading — approved as a real sample page, not as a description.
Cover directions
Two or three routes, each carried to a finished jacket — spine and back cover included, so the choice is real.
Typesetting
Full pagination with front and back matter in place — imprint, contents, appendices, index, colophon.
Proofs and revise
Marked proofs, corrections entered one by one, and the log closed by a second reader.
Press handover
PDF/X with 3 mm bleed, 300 dpi images, CMYK throughout — imposition-ready, not merely finished-looking.

Questions
The things clients ask first.
Can you work from unedited student submissions?
Yes — that is the normal starting point. Contributions arrive in mixed formats and mixed quality, and editing them into one consistent voice and setting is part of the job.
Do you handle Hindi sections?
Yes. Hindi and English sections are set to the same standard, with Devanagari handled by an editor who reads it rather than converted.
Can you print and deliver, or only design?
Either. We can hand over press-ready files for your own printer, or take the title through print and deliver finished copies.
How far ahead should a school start?
Start once the running order is roughly known. The long pole is almost always collecting and checking contributions, not the design.
